Kamille

As you know yesterdays entry was about Kelly of Karmina. Today so I don't make her feel left out, it's Kamille's turn. There is a lot of nice things about Kamille.Kamille is one great person who I like. One thing I remember is when I first met Kelly and Kamille in person, Kamille came right up to me and looked up with a great big smile. I thought she was going to say " Wow you're tall."But she didn't. She gave me a nice warm hug. When I saw Kelly and Kamille in June, they made a birthday wish video for my niece and nephew. When my nephew saw it, he went "She called me Bubba" with a smile. The she was Kamille. The same day I saw them in June, Kamille told me that I was one of the most important things to do in NY. I sat next to Kamille at breakfast in June. I gave her and Kelly two great things I made, a photo cube, and a photo of them and I. She also held my stuffed elephant, Elmer. She got a great big smile on her face. I enjoy talking to both girls on both Twitter, and Facebook and in the streaming chats. Like Kelly, Kamille can cheer someone up just by walking into the room. In one of the videos the girls made, it was Kamille's birthday, and she wished me a happy birthday. I will always love talking to both Kelly and Kamille. They are like the younger sisters I never had.

Kelly

Now as you know I am a leader of Karmina's NY Street team. Right now I would like to take the time to tell about Kelly of Karmina. Kelly is one great friend. She and Kamille (who will be tomorrow's subject) are very nice. Kelly and I get along well. She and I like to share ideas. I remember the day I first met her and Kamille in person. I was walking next to Kelly down the street to get my train home. I did some voices for her. She burst out laughing. She is very caring too. She told me to email her to let her know that I got home safe. I care about my friends whether they are hurt or sick and even upset. As someone told me, if Kelly goes into a room and she sees someone upset, she'll walk up to them and put a smile on their face. I also sent Kelly a bear for her birthday. I sent both girls some great stuff. I don't know where I'd be without Kelly or Kamille. They're like Guardian Angels to me.

My trip to Florida

It all started On June 23 two big things happened. My mom, my oldest nephew arrived from Florida. They both came up for my youngest nephew on my brother's family christening. They weren't the only ones to come to NY. Karmina came back! June 24, I got an email from Kelly. She asked me if I would like to come to breakfast with her and Kamille. I was excited. I told her that would be great. So we worked out a plan to have breakfast together the following Friday, June 25. The The 25, came and I brought my friend Frank down with me to meet the girls. Frank was in the hospital not that long before with blood clots in his lungs and leg. Anyway, I took the train and met Frank at Grand Central Station. From their we took the shuttle to Times Square and the train to 84th St. Around 9, Kelly and Kamille came. We had a great time at breakfast. The girls then made a movie for me wishing my oldest niece, and youngest nephew in my sister's family a happy birthday. We also took some pictures. Then the girls had to go to rehearsal for the Tommy Awards for which one of their songs was nominated. So Frank and I went back to Grand Central and I came home. When I got home, I went and called my mom on her cell phone and told her I was home. She said to wait because she was out with my sister and when she would leave, she'd call me and come by. When we were at breakfast, the girls told me something that made me feel good. Kamille told me that I was one of the most important things to do in NY. Kelly told me that they wouldn't have come back to NY if not for me. Kelly also told me to expect a package from them. When I got home, there was a package at the door. In it was a nice shirt from the girls and a bunch of goodies for fans. Later that day, I got together with my mom and went grocery shopping, then came home. The 30th, my mom, nephew, and I went to the airport to go back to Florida. My reason to go to FL was for the dentist and my youngest nephew wanted me there for his birthday. I had a good time in FL. The dental hygienist said I had no cavities. I also went to this great place called Giraffe Farm. The man who owns it, Lex Salsbury used to run the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. It was a cool place. My mom, dad, and I really enjoyed it.

How Kelly and Kamille are wonderful to me

Have I ever told you how wonderful Kelly and Kamille are. They are so great to me. Even though we aren't related, I consider them like sisters to me. They have helped me a lot. Most recently with a good friend of mine named Erin H. Erin has a daughter who has a disease called Chiari or something like it. It required Erin's daughter to undergo a major operation. When people I know who have kids who are sick like that tell me about their kids, it makes me feel sad. So I talked to Kelly and she and I arranged for something to be done. I got Erin's address and sent it to Kelly. Kelly and Kamille sent Erin something. I also talked to Kelly about seeing if she and Kamille would like to help me celebrate Janine's birthday early since I will be away for Janine's birthday. We agreed that we would works something out. Since Karmina has been very helpful to me, and changed my life. I decided to do something for them. This weekend, I sent the Rachael Ray show a nice letter. Here it goes

I used to be an unemployed Sales Associate from FAO Schwarz in White Plains, NY until one day when I watched this great show on Disney Channel called Two Hour tour. It was like American Idol but better This great band named Karmina back then they were Kelly and Kamille. They had won it though. So the night after I googled them and it took me to their website. I contacted the person in charge and she got right back to me. A week or two later I even got to chat with Kelly and Kamille themselves in a chat room. Early this year I heard they were coming to NY. So I emailed the person and she asked if I'd like to be on their street team. So I said yes. and emailed her back. An hour later I got an email back saying that she would forward my email to Kelly. What do you think happened next. A half hour later Kelly herself emailed me and asked if I would like to meet them in person. So I said you bet. So on Jan 31, I went down to NYC and I met and had lunch with the girls. The Person who contacted me first was none other than their Mom/manager Robin Rudisill

Karmina's music is great. This one song, Light's On makes me want to dance. It's all about New York. It's on their just released sophomore CD called Rewriting Chapter 2. Kelly and Kamille write their own songs and perform them also. They were up for being nominated to go perform at Lilith Fair which is one of their wishes. The girls are very sweet and they have done a lot for me and other fans. It's time we gave them something back.

As for me, I am a former Special Olympian, I won golds in swimming, bowling, basketball, volleyball, and track and field. I even received a nice plaque from the former mayor of White Plains for all of my hard work.

So I hope it works that they get on her show. It would be good for them.

good friends reunited: Laura and Edward

Yesterday, i had a great day. Two weeks ago I got a nice email from my good friend Laura. She works at Build a Bear Workshop. I have not seen her in a while. So I found out her email and I got in touch with her. I was supposed to see my friend Frank but he ended up in the hospital due to blood clots. So I said to myself, if I can't see Frank, nothing will stop me from seeing Laura. So I took the train down to NYC. I had a great time and Laura gave me a VIP tour of her store. It's nice. I hope to go back again. Maybe when Karmina is in town.javascript:void(0)

Wrestlers and Karmina's gift

Here are pics of me with them, They are in order, Virgil, Tito Santana, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Shelly Martinez, Butterbean, The Godfather, and Ron Simmons. Ron Simmons is the only one without me in it. Karmina sent me a gift to send to my mom, it was a harmonized Mother's day song the ydid

Katie McKay, one great manager and FAO people

There is one person who I haven't mentioned yet in my blogs since I started. Since it's her birthday tomorrow. I will mention her now. Her name is Katie McKay. Katie is my first manager that I had when I started at FAO Schwarz. She's one of the nicest people I ever worked with. If not for Katie and FAO, I wouldn't have met Sharon, and Janine. Katie is the one who hired me. She was so much fun. We did stuff together after work like go for happy hour, celebrate birthdays, Rye Playland, and even go to the movies. Katie and another former manager, Deana came to my old home one year. It was fun.

here's what's happening with me

A while back my friend Sharon Perez told me about her son Junito. He was born a premie. It hit me hard when she told me about him. Anyway, when she came to the Karmina CD Listening party I had she brought, Pete and I bracelets for March of Dimes. I then asked her about a walkathon she's doing. So I decided in honor of her, and Junito I would try it myself. I just need sponsors. So here is my link

The gang at Melt Sandwich Shop

Around the corner from my home is a great place to eat. It's called Melt Sandwich Shop. It's run and owned buy this funny guy named Bill Hall and his fiance Kristin Mulrane. They are both great people. Bill always says " I know you're going to like this sandwich". He also does funny stuff. Kristin is more serious. Today I told Kristin she looks like Jessica Alba. She liked that. I have been going there ever since they first opened. They have had a lot of nice people working there. People like Shawn, Jessica, Paula, Carlos,Matt, Nathan, Toma, Victor, and Chero aka Vladamir. Today they mentioned me in their special of the day. I even made two movies about them, One is called Melt Stars, and the other is just Bill and Kristin talking to Karmina. It's a good movie.

Miss Lauder and Africam

Today was a great day for me. Not only did my housekeeper come, but I heard from someone else from my old school. One of my favorite houseparents added me on facebook. It's so good to hear from her after all these years. Like my friend Rena Jones, I am also addicted to africam. my favorite animal is elephants. So I saw some today. Africam is like going on a safari but only from your home. I wish there was something like an oceancam so you could see whales and etc.

my special nephew

Sorry I haven't done a blog in the the last couple of days. I had a pounder of a migraine the last two days, and I just have been busy the others. Todays entry that is something close to me

In case you didn't know, it was 8 years ago on Christmas morning that I almost lost my nephew/godson. He had come down with a disease called RSV. RSV is like the common cold to us adults and pnumonia to childrens. Thank goodnesss, the doctors and nurses in Florida knew what to do. He and my sister went from their home to the local hospital. Then they flew him down to All Children's hospital in St Pete. He was there until a little after New Years that year. He is a very healthy and happy strong boy now. We love him so much. I call him and his family every weekend.

Karmina CD Listen Party

Well yesterday was not much of a washout like Saturday was. It only rained a couple of times. But we had some thunder though. No matter what it didn't stop the Karmina CD listening party from happening. It still went on. Peter Thomas Zorovich was the first to come. A little later, my cousin Mike, and his beautiful wife, Elin came. We had a good time. Shortly after that the special guests arrived via computer: KELLY AND KAMILLE AKA KARMINA. It was fun chatting with them. They are such great friends. They both have a good sense of humor. One day I sent an email to Kelly telling her that if she wasn't a performer, she'd be a good advice person. She has cheered me up and made me laugh a couple of times. They are both great friends. A little later, Elin and Mike had to go because Mike had to go to work early this morning. A little bit later, the phone rang. It was my good friend and former co worker from FAO Schwarz, Sharon Perez. She called and said she and another former co-worker Maria were near my place. So Pete and I went out to show them which place was mine. We all had a great time. Sharon and I are going to get together again soon. I hope that maybe Janine can get together with us also. It will be great because, Sharon, Janine, and I worked together around the same time.

Weather today

Today was a good day except for one thing, the weather. I called my brother this morning to see what time he was coming over. He was coming over to help me put my new computer chair together. I had brief talk with my sister in law. She is an angel. So my brother and his oldest son came over. The son wanted to play with me which was ok with me. He's a cute little guy. I love him. i also love the baby too. After they left, I went out to Subway and got lunch. I also got a smoothie to drink. Getting back to the weather it was horrible today, Wind and rain together. Thank goodness I didn't do anything else. So I just stayed home the rest of the day today.

good day today

Today was a good day, Not only did I hear from Kyra, but I heard from Kelly, and Sarah Beth Keeley today. The only little bad thing that happened today was news that I have to get a new dryer. The old one had it. One of my best friends, Peter Thomas Zorovich is coming over tomorrow. He and I are going to get some supplies for the Karmina CD Listening Party on Sunday. The people who are coming to it are Pete, my friend Jennifer, my friend Christine, my cousin Mike and his wife, Elin, my former co workers from FAO Schwarz, Sharon, Maria, and Samantha, and hopefully Janine. Kelly and Kamille will be there too but through live video stream. Tonight, my group, Westchester Coffee House went to Applebees for dinner. It was good. I had the double crunch shrip and fries, a glass of Pepsi, and a strawberry cheesecake shooter for dessert. We also celebrated Pete's birthday. His real birthday is March 12. Speaking of birthdays, yours truly's birthday is coming up soon too. 2 weeks from today March 25, I will be 43. I haven't done this yet but I would also like to thank a very good friend for helping me a lot. Her name is Rena Jones. She is a very talented young lady who is an author of kids books.

That's my late Uncle Walter with me when I was younger

Thank you Kyra, Kelly, and Kamille. You are the best :)

Things have gone from bad to good today. Yesterday, an ex cyber friend did something that was uncalled for. It all started when I was a moderator at the Sarah Beth Keeley Forum called Keeley's Krew. When I got my new computer, I went to Keeley's Krew and I was not welcome there. I was removed and banned. So recently, I tried to talk to one of the admin's there. She did something that was nasty and uncalled for. She called me a stalker and told everyone that I was a stalker. IT'S NOT TRUE. Thank goodness Kyra Kealy (no relation to SBK) cheered me up. I also let Kelly from Karmina know about it. Just now, I got a nice email reply from Kelly. She cheered me up more. She said this to me and it helped me feel a whole lot better : "You are not a stalker, but rather one of the most awesome street team officers out there! And you are so appreciated by Kamille and me. :) I'd say just ignore whoever is making you feel bad. Negativity is not worth anyone's time....." Thank you Kyra, Kelly, and Kamille! :)

great helpers

There is an old saying and that is Great minds think alike, well it's both true and untrue. because great minds are also great helpers. Take my friends Chris Duvall, Lee Tolbert, Craig Hale for example. I've known them since 1985, Chris since 1984. They all helped me make a tribute video to one of our fallen classmates who passed away recently. Another person is has a great mind is Kyra Kealy. She really is a sweetie. She has helped me work on the Karmina NYC blog. Another is my friend Tara, and my friend Rena Jones. Tara's helped a lot when I used to have an online magazine. Rena helped me start my own blog here.

Photo cubes aren't easy to make

when it comes to Arts and crafts, I am good at making things. In the past, I've made a Santa puppet, a little plaque for my mom, and many other things. The hardest thing that I had trouble with is a photo cube. That's right a photo cube. Tonight I tried making a photo cube for the Karmina CD listening party I am having. It took a while to make but I finally got it done with a little help from Mr. Scotch Tape. it doesn't look bad though. Here is what it looks like before Mr. Tape helped. Hopefully the CD covers will be easier

My emotions

For some feelings can be good, for others, they can be hurt but I have mixed emotions. For example when I come home from Florida I get so choked up I end up in tears. I even get that way when I say good bye to my parents if they are staying here and they have to go back home home. It happened once at my cousin's house. His wife, said to me, If you cry, then I will cry too. I felt real bad and I stopped so she wouldn't. Sometimes at funerals I won't cry. The last one I cried at was for my brother in law's dad. It was hard on me. Anger can also be mixed. Tonight I was angry at someone because she was telling me what I should do after it took me a couple of weeks to make a tribute video to one of my former classmates who passed away. She was even criticizing the song. The song is one that I chose and I got special permission from Kelly to use it. But I ended up ignoring the girl. The video is nice.

Tribute to a Former Classmate

as you know I have been making movies. My latest project is a tribute video to a former classmate of mine who passed away back on January 27. I even got permission to use one of Karmina's songs for the video. So far it looks great.

three great people

Tonight, I am going to talk about three people who really are great to me. I have mentioned them before here in my blog. They are Janine, and Kelly and Kamille Rudisill. As I had said, Janine is very special to me because of all the things she has done. Her family is so nice to me and she's like a sister I never had even though I have two sisters. She has been through a lot. She lost her last grandma over the holidays and it hit her so hard. Kelly and Kamille have also been very great to me. I am proud to be a team leader on their New York Street team. They made a video for me for my up and coming CD Listening Party. They are two of the nicest people I ever met besides Janine of course.

Ever since I was a little guy I have always loved to go places. One place I went to which was cool was Lucy The Elephant in Margate, NJ. Another was the Ripley's Believe it or not museum in St. Augustine, FL. I also went to George Washington's headquarters, the statue of Liberty, Fanuel Hall in Boston, LL Bean in Maine, the White House and the capital in DC., and The World Trade Center. Of Amusement Parks, I've been to Universal Studios in Orlando twice, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney/MGM Studios also in Orlando, Great Adventure in New Jersey, Kings Dominion in Richmond, VA and Busch Gardens in Tampa, and in Virginia

Edward the movie maker

In Case you didn't know, I am also a movie maker. I made my first one on October 15, 2009. It's of the rotating musical Christmas Tree I bought at Hallmark. The second one was 12 days later. It's my elephant collection. I also did movies of my youngest niece, and two youngest nephews in my sister's famiy, a movie of my oldest nephew in my brother's family. The three most recent ones I made were of Karmina, the owners of Melt Sandwich Shop talking to Karmina, and a Special Needs dance featuring Karmina's music. One day I was bored and I played around with the first movie of Karmina, and I added special effects to it. I called it The Many faces of Karmina. It has them and I talking in slow motion, speedy, backwards, flipped, cartoon, and viginette, and normal. I thought it turned out good. It made me laugh too.

OH, BTW, I'm the one who sent the girls their caps they are wearing. I have one myself

Karmina CD Listen Party

I can't wait until March 14. The reason is I am going to be holding a party. Not your ordinary party but a CD listening party. It's a Karmina CD Listening Party. I first mentioned it to Kelly last week. I am having my cousin and his wife, some former co workers from FAO Schwarz, and some local friends too. My cousin's wife is making her famous chili. Why is it famous? She won the Chili cookoff in Rockland County. Meaning she had the best. She's a great chef and my cousin is great too. This will be the first time they came to my house inside. They dropped me off at my home once. We may have a birthday cake for my friend Pete too because it's two days after his birthday.

Janine (Miss Teddy Bear)

These two photos make me think of how lucky I am to have Janine as a friend. Not only is she a friend, she's a special friend to me. As I said in an earlier entry, Janine and I used to work together at FAO Schwarz. She would go out of her way to pick me up if I was running late. One year, I was sick and the manager said to me, why don't you go home, so Janine called my dad and he came and got me. We would get together after work a couple of times and go out for dinner or something. One time after FAO was gone, Janine and her family invited me to her nephew's birthday party. We had a good day. First we went and watched the nephew and others play at a place called Tumblebugs. Then we went to her brother and sister in law's house for ice cream cake. Not only did they celebrate the nephew's birthday. They also celebrated mine too. Little did I know was that it was also one of the last times that I would see Janine's grandma who passed away this Christmas time. When Janine lost her other Grandma, I took her to NYC to the premiere of Brother Bear. We also went to the Disney Store, and to the Virgin Mega Record Store in Times Square.

about my family

Now that I talked about my friends, I think I'll talk about my family. Starting with the matriarch, my dad. My dad is a retired lawyer who worked so hard for White and Case in NYC. He now goes out every Saturday morning with a neighbor and helps feed the homeless, gives them clothes, and just talks to them. He also helps my mom out at church from time to time. My mom is a retired nurses aide, Sunday School teacher, and many other titles. She now takes care of my dad, and also helps the needy. My sister, Annie is adopted and has Cerebral palsy, and is so far breast cancer survivor. She worked for B Altman's Department Store and the local newspaper. My sister, Mg is the oldest of the natural born kids. She is the mother of 5 funtastic kids ranging fro 15 to 5. She is a teachers aide. She was a receptionist for New York Power Authority, and also a Sunday School teacher with her husband. They and the funtastic five live in Florida near my parents. I am the oldest boy. I used to work for the best toy store in the world, FAO Schwarz. I also used to compete in Special Olympics. I have won medals in swimming, bowling, track and field, volleyball, and basketball. I also have been to some events too. One was a celebrity golf tournament. I met celebrities like Chi Chi Rodriguez, Bill Evans from WABC TV, and some other famous names. I also had an online magazine. My brother Thomas is the youngest of the family. He has his own family too. Two boys, and a very pretty wife. Half of my family my family has brown hair (Dad, Annie, and I), and the other half has red hair (Mom, Marygrace, and Tom). I also had a wonderful dog named Mischief. If not for him, I'd still be afraid of dogs. One other fear I conquered was the fear of the blue whale in the Museum of Natural History in NYC. I think it's because it's larger than life. I still am scared of big thunderstorms, hospitals, and going to a place where an ambulance is going. I don't know why but I am.

my friends Part 2: Offline friends

as you can see so far I have a couple of celebrity friends. Now it's time for offline friends. Janine Galante( Genua) , Sharon Perez (Torres), Maria Mazzy Heredia, Samantha Garcia, and I worked together at FAO Schwarz. But we worked at various times. Christine Gaven, Peter Zorovich and I met through White Plains Recreation and Parks. Jennifer Coppersmith and I met through a former friend of mine. Craig Hale, Chris Duvall, Lee Tolbert, and I all went to school together. Kristin Mulrane, and Bill Hall work down the street from me at their sandwich shop. One of my favorite friend's is my cousin's wife, Elin McClure-Coyle. She is so sweet and caring. Another of my friends, M and her husband MM are so great to me. When MM had a small stroke a number of years ago, it hit me hard. He's a great guy and magnificent DJ. M is also rawesome. She's been a great Special Olympics coach to me as well mentor.

my friends part 1 : Celebrity friends

I know I made a video about this and now it's time to talk about it. The subject today: My friends. I don't know how to start this off but, I have a lot of friends. Some are so close to my heart I consider them like a family. Some are just good friends. Some are celebrities, and some are normal like you and me. Ok, here's how I met some of the celebrities. Nikki Stanzione, I used to watch on tv every day on a game show called My Games Fever. When that went off the air, I was wondering what ever happened to her. Then one day I was watching one of the weather channels and I saw her. I was so happy that I googled her and it gave me her link on the accuweather.com website. I followed it and it gave me an email addy for her. I emailed her and told her how I miss My Games Fever and I asked about two other things: an autograph, and if she could come by a message board I made. Both things happened. Sally Martin is a different story. I used to have an online magazine called Top of the charts. Every month I would focus on a couple of things, TV, movies, and music. One day I was watching Power Rangers, and I saw one star, Antonia Prebble. So I went to a site and asked about Toni. The person emailed me and gave me a link to Toni's agent. I emailed Toni's agent and the agent wrote back. When I was done, I sent the agent the interview questions and the agent replied. She then asked if there was anyone else I could interview. So I replied who else did she represent, she answered Sally Martin. I was like, You Bet! So the following day, I got questions from online friends and etc. Sent them. Sally loved them. Sally herself sent the agent an email and the agent forwarded it to me. The agent even sent me Sally's, Toni's and another star's (Nic Sampson) autograph. I even got to talk to Sally via chat. She was great. Like Sally, and Toni, Karmina was the same. I saw Karmina on TV too. They were on a Disney Channel show called Two Hour tour. It was like American Idol only better. When the show went off the air, I googled Karmina. Google sent me to their site and I clicked on Contact and sent an email. Their agent, replied and I asked about doing a chat interview with the girls. Then the agent replied a couple of days later and we set up a chat room, date, and time, When the date approached, the girls weren't there. So I sent an email and an hour later, the agent said they were on their way to the chat. A couple of minutes later, who comes in, Karmina themselves. Besides having the chat we had a ball. Kelly and Kamille are so much fun to talk to. I asked Kelly in the chat about getting their autographs, so Kelly asked for my address and I sent it and recieved thier autograph. Then in January of this year, the agent emailed me again after I emailed her and mentioned that I saw Karmina was coming to NY. The agent asked if I'd like to be part of their street team. I replied yes. Then an hour later, Kelly herself emailed me and was very happy that I joined the team. She then asked if I would like to come to a meet and greet, and I was like wow! I replied you bet. So the day finally came and we met. Kelly and Kamille have been so nice to me. Kelly and Kamille are two of the nicest people you should get to know. I had my pictures taken with them. Kelly also sent me a package for the street team and in it was a newer autograph. Tomorrow I will talk about other friends

The way to this mans heart

They say that, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, well to me that's wrong. To me, the way to this man's heart is through video. It's because of a video that I saw this morning. My good friends Karmina mentioned me in their latest video blog. It was so moving that it made me cry a bit. Thank you Kelly and Kamille. Once again, you made my day happy.javascript:void(0)
